Overview
Joynd has created an integration deployment guide that enables you to connect The Predictive Index (PI) quickly and seamlessly with Greenhouse Recruit (“Greenhouse”). There are five steps to get up and running.
You complete Step 1 on your own using this Guide:
Steps 1a, 1b and 1c: Enable the Greenhouse/PI Integration
When you have completed Steps 1a, 1b and 1c, contact Joynd (rapid@joynd.io) for a one-hour call to guide you through Steps 2-5. We will help you: Step 2: Create a Custom Job Field in Greenhouse (if you are using PI Match Score)
Step 3: Add Predictive Index Assessment to Job's Interview Plan
Step 4: Configure PI Stage
Step 5: Send and Review the Test

NOTE: The Predictive Index and Greenhouse both need to be in production before proceeding with this integration.
Customer Admin Setup
You will need to provide your Predictive Index API key (and potentially a Greenhouse API Key) to us to progress with integration setup. To do this securely we ask that you follow the instructions below to generate the key(s), and then enter them into the Joynd Portal (our secure integration management dashboard). Your main contact will receive login instructions for the Joynd Portal via email, and will need to follow the instructions detailed here:
Step 1a: Create Predictive Index API Key
To generate your PI API Key follow the instructions below:
1. In Predictive Index, navigate to the Administration section and click on the User Management tab
2. Create a new user named “Joynd Greenhouse Integration” - set the role to “Admin”
3. After saving the user, select the user you just created and at the bottom of the screen, you will now see an API key option under the Permissions section.
4. Click Generate New Key; it will look similar to:
5. Provide the API key to Joynd by copying and pasting into the Joynd Portal as outlined above. Hit save changes at the bottom before closing out.
If you have any questions during this step please contact rapid@joynd.io Step 1b: Create Greenhouse API Key (if using Match Score in PI)
If you plan to use PI Match Score, you’ll need to create an API key in Greenhouse. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
1. To create an API key in Greenhouse, click on the Configure icon
in the upper right-hand corner. Navigate to Dev Center on the left-hand panel. 2. From the Dev Center page, click API Credential Management.
3. From the API Credential Management page, click Create New API Key to generate the API key.
4. From the Create New Credential dialog box, give your API key a Description and select Harvest from the API Type dropdown menu. Under Partner, select “The Predictive Index by JOYND”. When finished, click Manage Permissions.
NOTE: Copy the API key to a secure location. You will not be able to retrieve it again and will have to create a new one if you lose it.5. On the Manage API Key Permissions page, expand the Jobs group and check the Get: Retrieve Job box. When finished, click Save.
Your Harvest API key for the Joynd assessment integration is now created and configured.

NOTE: Provide the API key to Joynd by copying and pasting into the Joynd Portal as outlined above. Hit save changes at the bottom before closing out.
1. Send the following to rapid@joynd.io:
- Confirmation that you have provided one or both keys generated in steps 1a and 1b to Joynd via the Joynd Portal
- Tell us if you will use Behavioral assessment only or Behavioral+Cognitive assessments
2. Joynd will then provide you confirmation that your Joynd API key is available for retrieval from the Joynd Portal. Log into Greenhouse and submit the following support request to share that key with them:
Please enable The Predictive Index (PI) by Joynd integration in our PRODUCTION environment with the following details:

Joynd and Customer Admin Setup
Step 2: Create Custom Field in Greenhouse (if using Match Score)
If you plan to use PI Match Score, you will need to create a custom Job field in Greenhouse to set the Job Profile ID. If you’re not planning to use Match Score, you can skip this step.
1. To create a custom field in Greenhouse, click on the Configure icon
in the upper right-hand corner. Navigate to Custom Options on the left-hand panel.
2. From the Custom Options page, click Jobs, then Add Field
3. For Field Name, enter “PI Job Profile”.
4. Select the checkbox “All Offices” unless the customer indicates there are separate and specific PI profiles for different offices.
5. Select the checkbox “All Departments” unless the customer indicates there are separate and specific PI profiles for different departments.
6. For Field Type, select “Single Select” from the dropdown. Once the Field Type has been selected and the field has been saved, the type cannot be changed.
7. Under Options, enter the list of PI Job Profiles exactly as they appear in PI.
8. Press Save to finish the custom field setup
Step 3: Add Predictive Index Assessment to Job's Interview Plan
Once the Greenhouse/PI integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Predictive Index assessment as an Interview stage.
1. To do this for an existing job, navigate to a job (All Jobs>Job Name) and click Job Setup from the Job navigation bar.
2. From the Job Setup page, navigate to Interview Plan on the left-hand panel.
3. Click Add stage.
4. From the Add Stage dialog box, select Predictive Index. When finished, click Add to apply the stage to the job's interview plan.
5. To add the Job Profile to the Job in Greenhouse, select the Job you will initiate assessments from, then choose Job Setup > Job Info > then in the PI Job Profile dropdown, select the desired Job
1. Once the stage has been added to the job's interview plan, click the Edit Interview* icon. Use the provided drop-down menu to choose assessments that you have previously set up in Predictive Index.
NOTE: The “pencil” and Edit Interview are not visible until you hover your mouse over the lower right corner of the Predictive Index box2. Select the appropriate assessment and assign at least one Greenhouse user to review submitted assessments. When finished, click Save.

NOTE: Keep in mind that all configuration of the assessment itself, as well as the email template, will need to be done in The Predictive Index.
Step 5: Send and Review the Test
When candidates are moved into The Predictive Index interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.
Notes:
- The order is created in Predictive Index in real time, so as soon as the recruiter clicks on “Send Test” and chooses the proper test from the popup, the candidate will receive an email from Predictive Index within seconds
- When you send a test from Greenhouse, the assessment instructions are sent via email by Predictive Index
- Greenhouse runs a scheduled task every hour to pull results from Joynd for all completed orders
Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view assessment results from Predictive Index.

The assessment test can only be sent once, and when successful, the results will be posted back to Greenhouse. If an error is encountered, the Send Test button will be re-enabled.
NOTE: Predictive Index uses the candidate email address to check for duplicates. The candidate will take the assessment only once as long as the same email is used, regardless of the number of jobs to which the candidate applies. Predictive Index will not require the candidate to re-take an assessment for each job, but will re-score the results according to the subsequent job profile.
To view the results when ready, click on the Predictive Index stage for that candidate and greenhouse will show more details:
About Match Score and Results
If you are not using the Match Score in PI, your results will include the following:
- The PI Profile Name (the descriptive word for your candidate’s profile type such as Captain, Influencer, Maverick, etc.).
- The PI behavioral report .pdf download. This document will include sections on Management Style and Influencing Style. As this is a .pdf document, no login is required to view the result.
If you are using the Match Score in PI, your results will include the items above, as well as the following:
- PI Match Score (this is a value out of 10 which indicates how well the candidate’s behavioral result matches to the job profile you created in Predictive Index).
- PI Interview Guide .pdf download.
If you are using the Cognitive Assessment as well as the Behavioral Assessment in Predictive Index then your results will also include:
- A link to the candidate profile in PI. This link will land you on the candidate profile in PI after you login, where you can review the detailed results of the candidate’s Cognitive Assessment.
- The PI Match Score for Cognitive (this is a score out of 10 that indicates how well the candidate’s cognitive results match to your job profile).
- The PI Match Score for Overall (this is a score out of 10 that combines the Behavioral and Cognitive Assessment results to indicate how well a candidate matches to your job profile).
